The Mahindra XUV400 EV is a significant addition to the growing electric vehicle market in India. With the commencement of deliveries, Mahindra has joined the likes of Tata Motors and Hyundai, who have already established their presence in the EV segment.
The XUV400 EV is based on the company’s existing XUV400 SUV, which has been a popular offering in the Indian market. The electric version comes with several upgrades, including a new grille, revised headlamps, and a unique set of alloy wheels. It also features a host of connected car technologies, including a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.
The XUV400 electric is available in two variants, including the EL and EC. The top-spec EL variant comes with a 39.4kWh battery pack, offering a range of 456km on a single charge. The base-spec EC variant comes with a 34.5kWh battery pack, providing a range of 375km. Both variants come with a 148bhp electric motor and 310Nm of torque.
The introductory prices of the XUV400 EV are set at Rs. 15.99 lakh for the EL variant and Rs. 13.99 lakh for the EC variant. These prices are applicable only for the first 5,000 bookings of each variant. After that, the prices are likely to increase.
