Faraday Future, an electric vehicle startup based in Hanford, California, has created the first FF 91 with production-specification components.

Faraday Future says it has reached manufacturing milestone #4—”pre-production builds for final engineering validation and certification”—by producing the first pre-production FF 91 flagship EV.

As a result, the corporation claims that production will begin in the third quarter of this year. However, the aim was mentioned as summer 2022 in a December 2021 news release, thus it appears that manufacturing has been delayed by at least two months.

In the coming months, Faraday Future will manufacture numerous production-intent vehicles for vehicle testing, validation, and final certification.

“Building the first production-intent vehicle at the Hanford plant is an important step towards reaching the start of production in Q3. This iteration is the closest to the FF 91 production model we’ve seen to-date. The FF 91 is expected to be the first ultra-luxury EV to reach the market, with a unique driver and passenger experience.”

Faraday Future has reached the fourth of the seven manufacturing targets it set out for itself in October 2021. Start major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to support equipment installation, complete construction and equipment installation in final vehicle assembly sections, and begin production are the next steps.

The FF 91 ultra-luxury EV, which is currently available for reservation on the automaker’s website, is intended to bring “the next generation of mobility in luxury, performance, and technology.” It’s a high-performance electric vehicle with “unique Online, Autonomous, and Intelligence (I.A.I.) technology features that enable the vehicle’s unique third internet living space,” according to Faraday Future.
