Sources confirm that Kia Plans To Expand GT Lineup To All BEV Models during the 2022 CEO Investor Day virtual event.
The first GT BEV will be the future Kia EV6 GT, which will be unveiled in March 2021. It’s the EV6’s top-tier model, ready to compete with some of the most costly sports vehicles on the market.
“Kia will also focus on providing differentiated design for its products and expanding high performance model offerings. Beginning with the launch of the EV6 GT high performance model, Kia plans to expand the GT line-up to all BEV models.”
The Kia EV6 GT will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds, due to a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system producing up to 430 kW and 740 Nm of torque.

For comparison, the standard Kia EV6 with a 77.4 kWh battery and all-wheel drive has up to 239 kW of power and 605 Nm of torque. It’s fast enough to go from 0 to 60 mph in around 5.1 seconds.
2022 Kia EV6 in the US:
While Kia Plans To Expand GT Lineup To All BEV Models, Kia will launch a new flagship EV9 model – a huge SUV – next year. If all future BEVs are slated to get the GT variant, the EV9 GT could be next.
