Bengaluru, known for its dosas, IT businesses, and traffic, is now producing many electric two-wheeler manufacturers. Ather Energy, Ola Electric, Ultraviolette, and Simple Energy have pioneered electric two-wheelers in India.
On India’s 74th Republic Day, Bengaluru’s new electric scooter hopes to make a name for itself. The three-wheeled iGowise BeiGo X4 electric scooter is new. A fire-resistant LiFePO4 battery pack gives the BeiGo X4 150km range. Another eccentricity we haven’t seen on our roads is this e-twin scooter’s hub motor on its back wheels. The BeiGo X4 has a 60-litre boot, a flat floorboard, and a triple-disc brake with anti-skid braking system (CBS).
This e-trike costs Rs 1.10 lakh (introductory) and comes with a five-year/one lakh km warranty. BeiGo X4 competes with TVS iQube S and Ola S1 at this price. We expect iGowise can meet demand with a broad network of touchpoints and 30,000-unit manufacturing capability.
The BeiGo X4, with its rugged, minimalist design, is unlike any other electric scooter. The apron is simple, but the headlight is mounted into a four-wheeler bonnet. The seating area has a similar tub in a small boxy body.
The BeiGo X4 is advertised as “self-balancing,” but unlike the Liger X electric scooter seen at the Auto Expo, it sits on two rear wheels and lets riders ride with their feet on the ground. The body and front wheel tilt while turning, but the rear wheels stay upright. The e-trike wouldn’t fall. However, the e-high-speed trike’s performance will be intriguing.
